Performance

Aperture refers to the size of the lens opening which controls the amount of light that falls on the image sensor. The Coolpix S8200 has an aperture with a range of f/3.5 - 5.9. With the Nikon point and shoot camera, you can focus in the range of 500 mm onwards (Wide) and 1000 mm to infinity in Auto mode. In Macro mode, the focus ranges from 10 mm onwards (Wide).

ISO refers to the light sensitivity of a camera. This Nikon S8200 has a light sensitivity range of ISO 100 - 3200. With the shutter speed range of 1 - 1/1600 second, you can take blur-free images of subjects even in low light situations. The shutter speed decreases to 4 seconds when the scene mode is set to Fireworks show mode, which enables clear image capture of astounding light bursts. The built-in pop-out flash has a functioning range of 500 - 5500 mm (Wide) and 1000 - 3000 mm (Tele), which will light up every corner of your images.

Features

The Nikon Coolpix S8200 has 19 scene modes like Pet Portrait, Food, Museum, Sunset and many more modes. You can use these scene modes to experiment with different photo effects. The lens shift Vibration Reduction of the S8200 ensures that pictures of moving objects are blur-free and sharp in focus. In the Easy Panorama mode, you only need to move the camera in the desired direction following the guidelines that appear on the screen, and the S8200 digital camera combines multiple shots into a single panorama photograph.

The Face Priority feature finds and focuses on up to 12 faces to get clear and sharp images. The Blink Warning function warns you when your subject blinks, so that you can take another picture and always have perfect images of your favorite people. The Smile Timer mode of the Nikon S8200 automatically recognizes a smiling face and releases the shutter, ensuring you never miss out on adorable moments.

The self-timer of the Coolpix point and shoot camera lets you delay the shutter release by 2 and 10 seconds, letting you join your friends in every photograph. With the Continuous Shooting mode, you can take up to 5 shots at 10 frames per second. This lets you record still images of whole sequences of actions, saving all your special moments forever.
