Your search for a simple point and shoot digital camera can end here. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH3 belongs to the Panasonic Lumix FH series of point and shoot cameras. This digital camera has a Lumix DC Vario lens with a focal length of 5 - 25 mm and a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 28 - 140 mm. The Lumix DMC-FH3 has a CCD image sensor that lets you take stunning pictures at 14.1 megapixel resolution.

This Panasonic digital camera has a 5x optical zoom and a 4x digital zoom. The DMC-FH3 can also reduce image resolution to 3 megapixels and let you shoot images at 10.5x zoom with the Extra Optical Zoom (EZ).

This sleek Lumix camera weighs 147 g and has a compact design. The rounded corners of this Panasonic digital camera fit comfortably in your hands. Battery and Storage

With the rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, you can take up to 310 images on a single charge. This Lumix digital camera has an internal memory of 40 MB which can be expanded using SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards. You can also transfer images from the Lumix DMC-FH3 into a laptop or PC using the USB 2.0 high speed port.

Performance

Aperture of a camera refers to the lens diaphragm which controls the amount of light reaching the image sensor. The DMC-FH3 has an aperture range of f/2.8 - 6.9. You can take sharply focused images with the Lumix point and shoot's Auto focus range of 500 mm onwards (Wide) and 1000 mm to infinity (Tele). In the Macro mode, the focus ranges from 50 mm onwards (Wide) and 1000 mm to infinity (Tele).

ISO refers to the light sensitivity of a camera. The Panasonic DMC-FH3 has a light sensitivity range of ISO 80 - 1600. In High Sensitivity mode, this range can be increased in the range of ISO 1600 - 6400. This Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH3 has a shutter speed range of 8 - 1/1600 second and in the Starry Sky mode, you can decrease the shutter speed further to 15, 30 or 60 seconds to get dramatic images of the night sky.

The powerful built-in flash of this Panasonic Lumix digital camera has a range of 600 - 6800 mm (Wide) and 1000 - 2700 mm (Tele), which you can use to brighten up your images.
