You can now take photographs at all social events in full style. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH5 belongs to the Panasonic Lumix FH series of point and shoot cameras. This camera is ideal to take along to parties or other family outings that demand precise chronicling. This DMC-FH5 has a Leica DC Vario-ELMAR lens with a focal length of 5 - 20 mm and a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 28 - 112 mm.

This Panasonic DMC-FH5 features a CCD image sensor and takes images at 16.1 megapixel resolution. The 4x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom of this Lumix digital camera lets you take close up shots of distant objects. This Lumix camera can reduce the image resolution to 3 megapixels to boost the zoom to 9x with the Extra Optical Zoom (EZ) feature.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH5 has a sleek body design with sharp corners that increase comfort of grip. Weighing 121 g, The Panasonic Lumix digital camera can fit conveniently in a bag of almost any size. The conventional 5-button Menu controls and one touch buttons for recording, playback and modes makes this an easy-to-use point and shoot camera. You can record videos in HD at 1280 x 720 dot pixel resolution (24 fps) with this Lumix DMC-FH5 digital camera.

This Panasonic Lumix camera is powered by the Venus Engine with enhanced signal processing and advanced noise reduction systems. This Lumix digital camera supports 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 aspect ratios in still image shooting. Images can be composed and previewed with the 2.7 inch TFT LCD display screen with a resolution of 230,000 dot pixels.

Battery and Storage

The rechargeable Lithium Ion battery lets you take up to 260 images on a single charge. This Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH5 has an internal memory of 70 MB and are compatible with SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards. To make more space for images, you can transfer all the images from this Lumix camera to a PC or laptop using the USB 2.0 high speed port.

This camera has an aperture range of f/3.1 - 6.5, which can control the amount of light falling on the image sensor. The Auto Focus in this Lumix digital camera has a range of 500 mm onwards (Wide) and 1000 mm to infinity (Tele) in Normal mode. With the Macro mode, this range can vary in the range of 50 mm onwards (Wide) and 1000 mm to infinity (Tele).

The light sensitivity of this Panasonic Lumix camera has a range of ISO 100 - 1600. This range increases from ISO 1600 - 6400 in High sensitivity mode. The Panasonic DMC-FH5 has a shutter speed range of 8 - 1/1600 second in the Normal mode. In Starry sky mode, this speed can be reduced to 15, 30 or 60 seconds to get sensational images of the night sky.

The Lumix DMC-FH5 has a built-in flash with a range of 400 - 3300 mm (Wide) and 1000 - 1600 mm (Tele). You can use this to light up every corner of your memories.

The Lumix DMC-FH5 has 28 pre-set scene modes like Party, Food, Candle, Beach and many more. In Baby mode, the Panasonic camera will record the name and birthday of your child and embed this date in images of them. The MEGA O.I.S optical image stabilizer of the Panasonic DMC-FH5 ensures that your images will be steady and blur-free by auto-correcting any shake in the camera.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH5 has Face Detection Feature, which can identify up to 15 faces in a frame. This feature can optimize focus and exposure settings to keep all faces in sharp focus. With the self-timer settings of 2 or 10 seconds, the shutter release can be delayed long enough for you to join people in photos. With Continuous Shooting mode, you can take 15 - 100 pictures at 4.4 frames per second to record every moment of a race or dance without missing anything.
