Products Description

Panasonic adds yet another player in its Lumix series of cameras. The new Lumix DMC-FX68 comes equipped with advanced technological features that are bound to impress you. This point and shoot camera is apt for teenagers and travellers. With a focal length of 4.55 - 22.5 mm and 35 mm equivalent focal length of 25 - 125 mm, the Panasonic Lumix camera provides sharp and clear images.

The Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens facilitates optical zoom of 5x and digital zoom of 4x allowing you to shoot vibrant images of the subject even at a distance. The CCD sensor in this digital camera captures quality images at 14.1 megapixels. The Venus Engine HD II processor ensures high resolution images even at maximum zoom. This point and shoot supports 4:3/ 3:2/ 16:9 aspect ratios.

The smart little Lumix camera looks quite attractive with a matte finish and elegant design. The controls are placed at the back, right next to the display screen for easy access. This point and shoot weighs only 123 g without battery and memory card. Hardly the size of an ATM card, the Panasonic camera will easily fit in your pocket.

You can also record the special moments of your life in HD at 1280 x 720 pixels (30 fps). The 2.7 inch TFT LCD display at the back comes with 230000 dots with a 100 percent field of view.

Battery and Storage

The Lumix DMC-FX68 is powered by a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery pack which can shoot up to 360 pictures when fully charged. With HDMI compatibility, you can watch the HD photographs and videos on an HDTV. Apart from the built-in memory, you can increase the storage capacity of this camera by using an SD, SDHC or an SDXC memory card. You can also transfer all the images to your laptop or PC videos using a 2.0 USB cable.

Performance

The aperture controls the amount of light that falls on the image sensor when it opens. The Panasonic Lumix digital camera has an aperture ranging from f/4.5 - 22.5 mm and in Macro mode, the aperture ranges between f/2.8 - 6.3 (Wide) and f/5.9 - 6.3 (Tele). The Auto Focus starts from 50 cm (Wide) and 100 cm (Tele). In the Macro mode, the focusing starts from 3 cm (Wide) and 100 cm (Tele).

In order to capture images in different light settings like in the afternoon or under a tube-light, the ISO ranging from 80 - 1600, which further increases to 6400 in high sensitivity mode, helps shoot clear and sharp images.

The shutter speed ranges between 8 - 1/2000 seconds and 15, 30, 60 seconds in Starry Sky mode. The slow shutter speed, in the Starry Sky mode, aids in shooting images in the night. The built-in flash has a range of 0.6 - 6.0 m (Wide) and 1 - 2.8 m (Tele).

Features

The Panasonic Lumix digital camera offers a list of different shooting modes for snapshooters aiding them in shooting flawless images. Some of the prominent scene modes include Portrait, Soft Skin, Transform and Self-Portrait. The built-in Power Optical Image Stabilizer makes sure that none of the pictures blur whether your camera is in motion or at maximum zoom.

The Lumix DMC-FX68 has an added feature called Cosmetic Mode which helps in shooting beautiful portrait images. Once this mode is activated in the mode dial, the camera adds special effects to images to make them more striking.

The Face Recognition feature combines with the Face Detection feature to identify faces and also optimize color saturation, sharpness and brightness of faces to make them look more stunning. This feature also helps tag people and organizes all the photographs easily to upload them later on social networking sites.

The self-timer provides you enough time to join your group of friends for that memorable photograph with a delay of 2 or 10 seconds. In the Continuous Shooting mode, the Panasonic point and shoot can shoot up to 5 images (Standard Mode) at 1.8 fps. The Panasonic Lumix DMC FX-68 makes sure you fall short of nothing when it comes to good photography.
