The HDR-CX110E is a Handycam from Sony which is capable of shooting Full HD video. The camera has a 1/4-inch Exmor R CMOS Sensor. The HDR-CX110E video camera has a 1.57 megapixel still camera, which is powered by BIONZ image processor technology. The Sony HDR-CX110E can shoot at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. This Handycam uses the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 25x optical zoom lens which has focal length of 2.5 mm - 62.5 mm. The HDR-CX110E can zoom optically up to 25x and digitally up to 300x. The TTL Contrast detection Auto Focus can also be adjusted Manually. The video camera has Aperture range of F/1.8-2.6.

The Sony HDR-CX110E video camera has Face detection and Smile detection features along with additional ones such as YouTube capture mode and Backlight compensation. The camera also has Scene detection function, which detects the scene automatically according to the situation and surroundings. User can also select various scenes manually such as Candle, Snow, Beach, Twilight mode, Sunset, Spotlight, Fireworks, Sunrise, Portrait mode, and Landscape.
