The Micromax Pike X510 is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) handset with a 2.79-inch True TFT resistive touchscreen display. A resistive touchscreen is made of 3 layers and requires you to put pressure on it to sense the area of touch. The resistive touchscreen works with any pointing devices like stylus, pen, or even nail. The use of pointing device makes the touch screen usage more accurate.

The candy bar phone measures 110.2 x 55 x 14.7 mm and weighs 103 g. The Micromax Pike is a social networking centric handset that supports Java applications and comes preloaded with Nimbuzz multi-messenger. The Snaptu social networking consortium in the X510 renders one touch access to Twitter and Facebook.

The 2 megapixel camera on the Micromax Pike supports a range of image modes for shooting under varied light settings. The Pike X510 ships with 5 sleek interchangeable backpanels, which let you dress up the phone in 5 different avatars to suit the moment, from board meetings to weekend mall hopping to beach vacations.

Battery and Storage

The Micromax X510 is powered by a 1500 mAh battery that is rated for 8 hours of talk time. The device can store up to 2000 phonebook entries and 500 SMSes on phone memory. The Pike X510 supports up to 16 GB cards microSD cards.

Multimedia

The X510 has a multi-format media player that plays MP3, MP4, AVI and 3GP formats. The intuitive music player lets you manage your music by sorting them based on albums, artists and genre. The device supports Stereo FM Radio and comes with 3.5 mm jack so you can connect any universal headphone to it. Another unique feature in the phone is the ability to use any of images from your gallery as a CD cover in the cover flow interface.

Connectivity and Features

The Micromax Pike supports net access via GPRS networks and is preloaded with Opera Mini browser. There is also a built-in Photo Editor which lets you add snazzy frames, text, clip art or even doodle on your pictures before you upload it to Facebook or Flickr.
