The Micromax Q80 is a Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) 3G handset with a full QWERTY keypad. The device comes with a 2.4 inch QVGA screen that packs 320 x 240 pixels. The Q80 sports a slick brushed grey metal chassis with dual toned rear panel that renders a classy business feel to the phone. The spaced out, tactile keypad coupled with the sensitive optical trackpad allows for seamless menu and web navigation.

This business centric handset features Micromax's Ezmail Pushmail Service that pulls up any incoming emails as soon as it hits the server. This gives you real-time notifications of your received mails. Furthermore, Micromax has added an email shortcut key on the Q80 which renders one-touch access to your inbox.

The Q80 is preloaded with Opera Mini browser and Snaptu social networking platform for Facebook and Twitter access. The 3 megapixel camera on the Micromax Q80 supports smile and face detection features for fast focusing and easy image capture. The Q80 also features a secondary VGA camera.

The Micromax phone features a music player that plays MP3 and MIDI formats. The built-in Yamaha amplifier in the Micromax Q80 boosts the audio depth to deliver hi-fidelity acoustics. The Q80 features FM Radio support and is preloaded with a music player (MIDI,MP3 formats). The built-in video player plays 3GP and MP4 formats. The Micromax phone supports Java applications and comes preloaded with the Burnout game title.

Battery and Storage

The Q80 is powered by a 1200 mAh Li-ion battery that gives 5 hours of talktime and can go unplugged on standby for up to 130 hours. The 68 MB of internal memory in the device can be expanded up to 8 GB with a microSD card.

Connectivity and Features

The Micromax mobile supports internet access via GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi networks. Data transfers are enabled via Bluetooth and microUSB port. The Q80 is preloaded with Nimbuzz app which integrates multiple chat clients like MSN, Yahoo! Messenger and Gtalk into a single window. The device is preloaded with the Newshunt app, a news aggregator that helps you simultaneously keep track on feeds from multiple sources. Other preloaded apps in the Q80 include Ngpay (an online ticket reservation app) and Bloomberg UTV.
