Products Description The Philips GoGear Spark is an ultra-compact MP3 player with a unique display dominated square form factor. The Philips MP3 player features FM radio support with auto tune and preset features. A unique feature of the device is it's ability to display Album art which helps in quick and easy sorting of your playlist.
Design The GoGear Spark sports a compact square design that measures 46.8 x 46.8 mm with a thickness of 14.5 mm. The 1.5 inch color display packs 128 x 128 pixels and also doubles up as the navigation pad for the GoGear Spark. Philips has fitted the GoGear Spark with an innovative display based controller pad. The Up/Down menu controllers are tucked away on the top and bottom of the display. Pinching the right edge of the screen will Play/Pause your song and/or make menu selections. The Left edge of the display acts as the Back button. The sole physical keys on the GoGear Spark, the Volume rocker and Power/Hold button, are located on the top spine. The GoGear Spark sports a sturdy belt clip with which you can attach it to your belt or fabric. Philips has also included a lanyard slot on the GoGear Spark for people who prefer it to be worn around the neck. Battery and Storage The GoGear Spark comes with 4 GB of internal memory which can hold around 1000 songs. A rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery powers the device and gives continuous audio playback time of 22 hrs. Functions The GoGear Spark packs lot of nifty features like fast playlist compilation and the ability to change the equalizer setting from the Now Playing interface. The inclusion of a microphone allows the Spark to be used as a compact voice recorder. The device supports MP3, WMA, WAV audio formats. The GoGear Spark features 6 preset equalizer settings to ensure genre optimised audio enhancement. The preset equalizer settings include Funk, Hip hop, Jazz, Rock, Techno and Classical. The FullSound technology dramatically enhances the acoustic quality of your songs by compensating any loss of quality due to compression. The Spark supports Philips Songbird, a intuitive music management program that syncs the media files in your PC seamlessly to the device. The software can also suggest artists and music you may like, connect to music stores and stream media from the web.
