The Philips GoGear Ariaz is the smaller sibling of Philip's flagship portable media player, the GoGear Muse. The 2.4 inch high resolution LCD display on the Ariaz allows for images with vivid color rendering. The large display also allows for easy menu navigation and album art support. The Ariaz wears a jet black glossy case with chrome plated control buttons and a unique scroll switch.

The FullSound technology renders CD like audio quality to your music by compensating any loss of quality due to compression. Combined with a unique Digital Signal Processor (DSP), the Ariaz delivers deeper bass and precise instrument clarity.

Battery and Storage

A USB chargeable Lithium Polymer battery powers the GoGear Ariaz. The device comes with 16 GB of flash memory and can store 3600 songs. The music player supports an audio playback time of 36 hrs and 5 hrs of video playback.

Functions

Philips Ariaz features 80 decibel STN (signal to noise ratio) and 35 decibel of channel separation which ensures minimal distortion. The GoGear Ariaz features 7 preset equalizer settings to ensure genre optimised audio enhancement. The preset equalizer settings include Full sound, Funk, Hip hop, Jazz, Rock, Techno and Classical.

The Ariaz supports Philips Songbird, a powerful music management program that syncs the media files in your PC seamlessly into the Ariaz. The software can also suggest artists and music you may like, connect to music stores and stream media from the web.

The FM radio with RDS supports 30 preset stations. The RDS protocol allows the Ariaz to capture useful information like song title and artist. The GoGear Ariaz features an advanced navigation protocol with an album art based interface that allows quick and seamless sorting of your playlists. The music player supports an easy video download feature that allows you to download videos directly onto the device (once connected to a PC) from popular video sharing sites like YouTube and Google videos.
