The Sony Walkman NWZ-B163F is an ultra-portable music player with a 3-line monochrome LCD display. The highlight of the Sony music player is the Bass button. Once activated, the Walkman ups the lower range frequencies, rendering a powerful thumping effect to your songs. The Walkman NWZ-B163F is crafted for accurate music reproduction with equal focus on the low, mid and high frequencies. The unique Glow Dial on the Sony Walkman features a color matching power illuminator that adds a classy dash of visual appeal.

Design

The Sony Walkman comes in a USB stick form factor with a slick detachable clip for latching on to your belt, bag or denim pockets. The clip-wear style of the Sony NWZ-B163F renders it a perfect companion for workouts and running. Sony has replaced the traditional four-directional navigation controls with an intuitive Jog Dial that encases the play/pause button. To the right of the dial is the USB plug which is protected by a removable cap.

Battery and Storage

The Sony Walkman MP3 player is powered by a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery that supports USB charging. The battery takes around 70 minutes for a full recharge and delivers an impressive 18 hours of continuous music playback. The 4 GB Walkman player can store up to 980 songs (approx). The Quick Charge Technology in the Sony Walkman allows for 90 minutes of continuous music playback with just 3 minutes of charging.

Functions

The Sony music player supports Drag-and-Drop transfer for quick and easy transfer of music from your PC. It also allows you to use the Walkman as a handy USB pen drive. The Voice recording function in the Sony MP3 player supports an impressive 31 hours of recording time. In addition to the Bass Boost feature, the player comes with 5 Band Equalizer. You get to choose from Heavy / Pop / Jazz / Unique and Custom presets for genre optimized acoustic delivery. This Sony NWZ B163F also features a ZAP button which gives a 5-10 second preview of the next song to quickly browse through your playlist. The supported audio formats are MP3 and WMA.
